BroadBased Communications Celebrates Bigger, Bolder Presence

May 1, 2001

BroadBased Communications, Inc., celebrated the end of a months-long expansion project last week. Employees joined company founder Jan Korb in a lively reception for friends and clients in their sleek new digs in the downtown Riverplace Tower overlooking the St. Johns River.

Over chilled drinks and sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, nearly 70 representatives from some of Jacksonville’s most well-established businesses, along with up-and-comers and local media, browsed the new conference area, waiting room and office cubicles. BroadBased employees, friends and family played escort, showing off the firm’s expanded design and marketing communications space.

BroadBased introduced its new web site at the Thursday afternoon event, and guests were given carte blanche to browse through its design-intensive pages. Conducting virtual tours of www.bbased.com were the site developers, Rick Lee and Chris McFall from Form Creative, who will partner with BroadBased in future web design and development projects.

“Jacksonville has been a wonderful city in which to grow this business,” said Jan Korb, president of BroadBased Communications. “We appreciate the interaction with our business friends throughout the region, and we wanted to include them in our celebration. I can’t think of a better way to do that than with good food, good drinks, and the company of all these wonderfully competent people.”

Rounding out the guest list were the firm’s familiar mascots, Snowball and Minerva. Catering was provided by Kaiser Enterprises, Inc.
