BroadBased gets Board

Two members of the BroadBased creative team joined over 100 other Jacksonville artists to display their custom-designed skateboards for the “I’M BOARD IV” art show. The respective boards of Sean Collins, BroadBased’s web designer, and Karen Kurycki, Senior Art Director, truly reflected their personalities.

Sean’s fascination for facial follicles shined through once again with his “Mustache and Monocle” piece that featured a handcut, handpainted mustache with matching monocle. Karen’s obsession with 80s/90s pop culture was evident in her tribute to The Hamburglar, hamburger tie and all!

Both Sean and Karen regularly participate in Art Walk and art shows around town, and both have curated separate art shows within the past few months. “Being involved in the art scene in Jacksonville has been such a great experience for me as both an artist and a designer. I love that the art and design lines are being blurred and we’re seeing some amazing things from artists around town,” Karen says. “It’s a great feeling to be a part of that, and to have that outlet to express ourselves through our personal art.”
