BroadBased Collects Two Silver Addy Awards
February 1, 2004
BroadBased Communications, Inc. has won two silver ADDY Awards for a custom-designed vehicle wrap produced for Harmony Homes of North Florida. The awards honored the design of an entire vehicle in the “Vehicle Wrap” category, as well as the illustration as a stand-alone element in the “Elements of Advertising” category.
Harmony’s 36-foot RV, which is used as a mobile sales and marketing tool, was wrapped in custom graphics depicting an idyllic Harmony Homes neighborhood. Under the direction of Senior Designer Anna Moon, BroadBased commissioned Maine-based illustrator Janet Broxon, a freelance watercolor painter and illustrator, to create the custom artwork for the Forest River Windsong RV.
“Our rapid growth has enabled us to enter several exciting communities,” said Linda Moore, director of Sales and Marketing for Harmony Homes. “While our model homes are being built, we wanted to have an eye-catching presence that would attract homebuyers to learn more about our exciting offerings.”
“Janet’s illustration was instrumental in creating a new identity for Harmony Homes that truly sets them apart from the competition,” said Jan Korb, BroadBased’s president. “I was happily surprised when Harmony President David Shacter approved the illustration concept. It’s exactly that kind of client trust that enables us to do our best work.”
Since finishing the RV graphics, Harmony has continued to integrate the custom image into other marketing initiatives including its Website, print advertising and promotional collateral materials. The RV can be viewed on the BroadBased Website at www.bbased.com.
Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the ADDY Awards honor excellence in advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry. The competition begins at the local level with the 210 AAF member clubs, including the Jacksonville Marketing and Advertising Club, which sponsors the local Addy Award judging.
