New Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital website is more than meets the eye
A new 100-page responsive website developed by BroadBased for Baker County Medical Services integrated four healthcare facilities into one master website under the main brand of Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital.
Located 30 miles outside Jacksonville in the rural community of Macclenny, Fla., Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital and its affiliated facilities are more than medical providers. They’re a community hub that almost everyone in the region visits eventually for a wide of medical services provided by the hospital and the adjacent Dopson Family Medical Center, Baker Rural Health Clinic and W. Frank Wells Nursing Home.
From a technical standpoint, the old platform was built on outdated technology that required separate desktop and mobile platforms. Plus, the organization didn’t have direct access to the customer relationship management system for making content edits.
The goal with the new website, therefore, was to create a faster and more user-friendly browsing experience that acts as a guide to the entire campus, while providing management with a marketing hub. The new public-facing features include:
- An updated physicians section with more-complete provider profiles;
- A robust career section;
- A blog where general health news, nutritional tips and bylined articles from physician staff are shared; and
- A fully mobile- and accessibility-friendly experience.
“The feedback has been terrific, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result,” says Edward Anderson, CEO. “The new website serves as a hub for our integrated marketing initiatives, which span print, direct mail, social media, broadcast television, and ‘over-the-top’ content distribution. The new organization of content and accessibility features make it much easier for our patients to navigate – from finding services to researching individual providers. We are very pleased with the BroadBased’s processes from planning through launch.”
And the team at BroadBased couldn’t be prouder of the final result.
