Work Spotlight: Calling the Dawgs with a digital strategy

March 11, 2022

One of our latest projects is a fun one, helping the Georgia Bulldog Club of Jacksonville with a digital campaign to sell UGA license plates here in Florida.

We delivered creative Facebook ads to a targeted audience of UGA supporters with the goal selling the newly-designed Florida license plates.

By testing and refining the creative elements of the campaign, we were able to achieve a whopping 21% click-through rate. On top of that, the conversion rate based on the number of plate vouchers sold was over 6% which is more than double the average rate of 2.5% for consumer goods.

We were able to deliver these results with a cost per click around $4, providing a substantial return on investment for the plate voucher purchase of $33.86.

Overall, the campaign has been wildly successful, having sold thousands of license plates and letting Dawg fans “brag with the tag” to celebrate their 2021 National Championship.

Mary Daniel, former President of the Georgia Bulldog Club of Jacksonville, had this to say about the project:

“We engaged BroadBased to help direct our social media advertising because we knew we needed help in spreading the word that vouchers were now available for purchase. Those marketing efforts have paid off as we are fast approaching 3,000 voucher sales which will trigger the plates to finally be printed. We’re especially excited to have the UGA plates in Florida this year since we are all celebrating our long awaited national championship. It’s a great time to be a Georgia Bulldog deep in enemy territory. Go Dawgs!”

If you’re interested in picking up one of the new plates, head over to UGA’s website to learn more and purchase a voucher.
