ARDC Dispatches New Service
April 28, 2010
American Rail Dispatching Center (ARDC), a subsidiary of RailAmerica, is introducing an innovative product for short line and regional railroads. With state-of-the-art dispatching equipment and expertise at its home base in Vermont, ARDC offers dispatching services to small freight railroads across the country.
BroadBased Communications copywriters and designers worked in conjunction with the Vermont and Jacksonville RailAmerica staff to create the new brochure. As key messages, it relates how ARDC will save smaller railroads from the overhead costs of maintaining their own dispatch desks and infrastructure, while providing, safe, secure, highly professional dispatching services.
“With our existing secured control and communications systems, we can dispatch trains for any of these smaller railroads across the country,” said Tom Murphy, director-ARDC. “We already dispatch trains for 32 separate railroads from our Vermont base. We developed the brochure to support our plan for strategic, controlled growth over the next several years.”
